Netball Quad Series 2017

The Netball Quad Series produced some of the best matches in Quad Series history with World Number 2’s New Zealand eventually becoming the winners for the first time in the side’s history, however the winning side lost to our England Roses in their second match.

Roses beaten by Diamonds 54 – 50 in Quad Series opener

England made a strong start to their first game of the Quad Series with both Helen Housby and Kadeen Corbin getting on the scoresheet early, however, the Diamonds started to dominate in the mid-court and punished the Roses with their transitions through to goal. The Roses fought hard but the Diamonds found another gear at the end of the first half to take a 10-goal lead into the half-time break. The Roses went back out for the third quarter trailing 32-22, fielding an unchanged line-up. The Roses’ transition became quicker and more clinical with Chelsea Pitman displaying great vision and delivery into the shooters. However, it was too little too late for England and the game finished 54-50 to the Australian Diamonds.
